Professional Learning Course 

Overview:  Intended for a professional learning community interested in a holistic approach to diversity, equity and inclusion. It is especially suited for staff, faculty, lead teachers and program leaders who are responsible for promoting and developing a school’s capacity to create and sustain a safe, inclusive and just community.

Course Outline
  • Full day training at your school or learning organization, up to 15 participants
  • Materials: Guide book, participant packet with reproducible tools
  • Individual coaching, observation & feedback sessions aligned to each training topic for each participant

Learning Outcomes: Participants will be able to

  • Make the connection between mindfulness and social justice
  • Consider language, norms and a learning framework to create and sustain an inclusive learning environment
  • Apply mindfulness and social justice pedagogy to curriculum and instruction using observation, planning and assessment tools
  • Employ creative strategies and techniques that help
